Don't laugh, the title will be 'Martin Barre Plays Jethro Tull'! It will be an acoustic album with Martin's favourite tunes re-arranged. One of them is Fly By Night

Well, I didn't hear it from Martin himself, but Dave Rees sounds serious.

"I'm currently working on an acoustic album of "Martin Barre Plays Jethro Tull", which will be mainly me on classical guitars, bouzouki and mandolin and maybe just a tiny bit of electric guitar on a couple of tracks. They're going to be the lesser-known tracks that people will have to check their albums to see where it came from. The important thing is that they've all got strong melodies and there's something that you can do with them to make them special; it's pointless just doing an instrumental version of the song and not changing anything. So I'm sort of turning them round and adding bits of music, so it will probably end up maybe a third of my music integrated into the Jethro Tull songs. One of the songs that I've really had a lot of fun with is off the album Walk Into Light called Fly By Night."

Nostalgic old gentlemen, they are both.......

But to be honest, that does not sound too bad for me, actually! At least it is for sure that some outstanding and catchy good tunes will be on the record. And that was not always the case with his solo offerings, was it?

Cheers,
J.

Also bin ich mal gespannt.

J.
