Good morning Mr. Snafje,

some comments on your list:

- My Sunday feeling remix: 25th anni Box, first CD, like lots of other remixes (Jeffrey, LITP, Teacher, etc...)

- No other studio recording of Stormy Monday

- there are two lenghts of "17", the original 6mins. version (only on original single) and the edited 3mins. version (all other releases)

- I would put "Singing all Day" to "Stand Up", because it was still Ian playing the organ

- the original "UK single version" of "Teacher" is only on the 20 years Box, all other releases have the later recorded "US version"

- "Witch's Promise" remix on 25th Anni Box, like nearly all remixes

- there was a Quad version of the whole Aqualung album, but only "Wind Up" was a different version. I think it's a demo version which slipped in by accident

- the remix version of "Life Is A Long Song" on 25th again, all other releases (LITP, Best ofs, Original Masters etc) are the original version

- I think the correct songtitle is "From Later", "For Later" was a misprint

- Sailor and the original Lifebeats Intro to be found on bootleg (Minstrels in the Red House)

- I would term "The Story Of The Hare..." as a seperate "song"

- there is a Moths remix (this time on 20th and NOT on 25th)

- two versions of "Rover", with and wthout strings

- "A Stitch in Time" was recorded between HH and Stormwatch, there are two versions, a longer one, only to be found on orginal single and a shorter one on all other releases

- Warm Sporran is missing on your list (Stormwatch)

- Jack-A-Lynn acoustic is on the "Rocks on the Road" single set, the normal version on 20th Box, a digital remastered version on "Best of Anni collection" double CD

- what about the Beacon's Bottom Sessions of 92? Are they live or studio? At least one other "unreleased" track: So Much Trouble

I hope, I could help a bit

Cheers
Carsten O'List

What about the M.U. version of Aqualung? It's definetely a different version - at least a different sound altogether.

How could I ever not think of that one, my beloved king, I am untröstlich.
You are absolutely right, which is quite common for a king, isn't it?

It just came to my mind, that the version of "Locomotive Breath" on M.U. is also a different mix, just slightly different, but different.

I would put Pan Dance in the Warchild-File, not in the Minstrel. It was already recorded in 1974 and was played before the Wachild show in London with the Dance Company "Pan's People" (from Top Of The Pops) dancing to it. One of those dancers also dances to Salamander in the 2Old2 TV special.

If you include "Warchild Waltz" in Warchild, I think one should also include the Warchild version from "A Classic Case", which is the original arrangement from the soundtrack of the planned Warchild movie, as is Warchild Waltz. Although the sound is crappy and the soundeffects (lorries, huh?) are shite, it's the only interesting piece on this orchestral disc.

Yours and mine

Talking about useless knowledge!

You should go on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire". Either Chris Tarrant or Jauch would love you.

Plays The Orchestral Jethro Tull.

1. The Beach Part 1 & 2 (Warchild 1974) source reference manuel
2. Ten o`clock news (Too old…1976) source Dee Palmer
3. Apocalypse (Stormwatch 1979) source Dee Palmer
