Hallo Birgit,

lass Dich nicht fertigmachen hier.....lach! Bei diesem Billy Sherwood handelt es sich meines Wissen um einen Produzenten (u. a. Yes etc. glaub' ich) der ein "The Wall" Tribute Projekt koordiniert, auf dem sich verschiedene "Größen" ein Stelldichein geben. U. a. eben auch Ian, der dort auf "a couple of tracks" singen und Flöte spielen soll. Welche Stücke das denn nun sind weiss ich leider auch nicht!

Ich bin allerdings recht gespannt auf dieses Teil und freu' mich da so richtig drauf, weil neben Ian finden sich auch solche Leute wie Adrian Belew und Tony Levin (King Crimson) und einige andere, in meinen Ohren sehr wohlklingende Namen. Und das Album an sich ist ja auch im Original nicht wirklich schlecht gewesen....

sorry, ich wollte niemanden "fertig machen"! Ich denke nur, daß ein klein wenig Eigeninitiative (verfolgen der Links und lesen der entsprechenden Seiten) schon drin sein sollte.

Ja, ganz klar - "The Wall" ist ein Meisterwerk, übrigens meine erste LP (zum 10. Geburtstag, die Goombay Dance Band Scheibe vorher zähle ich nicht mit .) und vielleicht (neben TAAB) für mich DIE Platte überhaupt.

Da sind tatsächlich einige klangvolle Namen mit dabei und ich meine, Billy Sherwood hat auch mal mit Yes auf der Bühne gestanden, was erklären dürfte, warum auch Rick Wakeman und Steve Howe mit von der Partie sind.
Ich denke mal, daß Ian ein paar der (vorhandenen) Flötenparts beisteuern wird - ich war 1990 am Potsdamer Platz und da hat das James Galway (ganz formidabel) gemacht, hab mir damals natürlich schon Ian an die Flöte gewünscht .

The Wall? Vor allem "run like hell" und dann optisch als Liveversion!

Was hier tiefenpsychologisch so zum Vorschein kommt.

"Goombay Dance Band", freiwillig gewünscht? Dieser musikalische Fehltritt muß geahndet werden, in dem Du hier - klar und deutlich - "Sun of Jamaica" rezitierst!

Auch ich bin gespannt, da "The Wall" mein erstes Album überhaupt und auch mein Lieblingsalbum ist - außerdem liest sich die Liste der teilnehmenden Musiker sehr gut, auch wenn ein wenig Skepsis da ist, das die dieses Meisterwerk verdaddeln. Aber hab ich mich da jetzt verlesen, oder ist IA tatsächlich nur auf dem einen Track dabei? Ich dachte eigentlich, er würde auf ein paar mehr rumflöten ... gibt's ja noch einige, wo's passt ("Goodbye Blue Sky", 1990 hat James Galway den Part gemacht).

Aber ich hab' bis jetzt noch nicht rausbekommen, wer denn wohl den europäischen Vertrieb übernimmt. Oder ob das Ding überhaupt in Europa erscheint. Ich will's ja mal hoffen, denn ansonsten steht wieder ein teurer Import ins Haus!
