Hi,

ich hatte den Begriff "Form" auch eher im Verständnis von "Format" gemeint! Und hier können wir das Schicksal des armen Doane auch zunächst mal außen vor lassen! Denn Dir hat ja das Format auch mit Doane schon nicht mehr gefallen, gelle! Obwohl Du ja auch Du noch im vergangenen Jahr gesagt hast, Du hättest die stärksten Jethro Tull seit vielen Jahren erlebt, doch das nur am Rande.

Ich meine ich habe die stärksten (ja, wenn man so will auch neu erfundenen) Jethro Tull seit vielen Jahren in 2006 gesehen und zwar auf der von mir vielzitierten und von vielen von Euch arg verrissenen (warum eigentlich?) UK Tour gesehen!

Hier wurden nämlich für meine Begriffe überaus glaubwürdige und auch künstlerisch hochwertige (..hallo Carsten... ) Vorträge gebracht. SO will ich meine mittlerweile (leider) steinalte Lieblingskapelle sehen. Denn das war überraschend und auch neu!

Alles andere hätte ich auf Dauer wohl auch als unglaubwürdig und statisch empfunden! Nochmals, ich wünschte es würde in exakt diesem Format noch ein paar Jährchen weitergehen, während viele hier ja noch immer die energetische Rock'n'Roll Kapelle erwarten und Auftritte von heute mit denen von vor 30 Jahren vergleichen! Aufwachen, ihr lieben Leute, wir befinden uns mit Sicherheit in der spannendsten Phase "unserer Band" seit 1979! Gleichzeitig befinden wir uns mit Sicherheit in der letzten Phase unserer Combo! Und ich bin froh, das sie allen Anschein nach dermaßen hochwertig werden wird, wie es sich 2006 ankündigt hat - und wie es auch nicht anders zu erwarten war!

PS: Was den guten Doane angeht, sollten wir ggf. erstmal abwarten. Herr A. ist zwar jetzt Doktor aber noch lange kein Mediziner und womöglich und vielleicht....... keep your fingers crossed und wünscht ihm das Beste....ich würde ihn wirklich vermissen!

Jessas, sich für die Rhythmusgruppe bei Jethro Tull zu melden, birgt offensichtlich seit jeher und unvermindert fortdauernd Risiken für Leben und Gesundheit!! Das muss umgangen werden!° DJ Brotzwotz, übernehmen sie!!

strange avenue

1. Also, so steinalt sind sie wegen den Jüngeren im Durchschnitt nicht, absolut auch noch nict, wenn ich mal Opa David Gilmour betrachte.

2. Das mit Doane verwundert mich, im www, selbst auf der erklärten Fanseite von ihm, findet man nix.

3. Das, was Ulla so schleierhaft verkündet, glaub ich gelöst zu haben: Er wird Flötist (promovierter) bei den Londoner Symphonikern, und kann bis ans Lebensende seinem Hobby frönen. Und wenn wir nicht gestorben sind, dann ....

Some good and some bad news.

Good: There will be an acoustic Jethro Tull tour this fall. I guess also Germany; at least a concert in The Netherlands on 24 November.

Bad: For now it's not sure who will be on that acoustic tour. I'm sure Andrew will not. Doane most likely not. I don't know about Jon. Ian and Martin definetly will be there. Until now they don't know themself who will be with them, even not íf there will be other musicians with them.

Is this the second big split after 11 years (longest line-up ever), or just period as they did on the A Little Light Music tour?

This is the new format Ian was talking about lately.
I know that he contacted 2 musicians to join him and Martin for a tour, but I am not allowed to talk about it.
So watch this place, I´ll tell you as soon as the decisions are made.

Do you have tickets already? 013 is smaller than the Heineken Music Hall; there are around 1000 seats and 250 standing places. All the seating-tickets were sold-out in just a few hours after they went on-sale.

The promotor tries to add a show because of the unexpected fast ticket sales.

We ordered ours immediately on Saturday. And Ticketmaster.nl send a confirmation mail - so I hope they'll send them within a few days......

habe am vergangenen Samstag Tickets für die Zusatzshow am 23.11. geordert. Ich empfehle allen, die die akustischen Jethro Tull in diesem Jahr noch sehen wollen, schleunigst das Gleiche zu tun, man hat ja gesehen, wie schnell das manchmal geht........

Wir sehen und dann dort!
