Let’s start with the man who makes James Brown seem lazy. Yes, it’s the hardest workingman in showbiz, our own Ian Anderson. There’s not a month off for him this year.

Last month saw dates for Ian and Jethro Tull as far afield as Moscow and Kiev and the coming months prove why Ian needs two passports to contain all those visas and entry permits. Take a breath and count these air miles as you consider this month by month guide: April-South American solo dates; May-Tull to Australia and Japan; June-Germany with Tull, July-more European dates including Italy and Switzerland with Tull; August and September-more South American dates; October and November-US and Canada; and finally that brings us to December and some proposed solo dates again in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, finishing up just in time to put his feet up for Xmas.
Before he started this little jaunt, Ian found the time to supervise the mixing of the solo concert with orchestra he recorded in Germany for future release as a DVD. He’s still making the final song selection but we can tell you that the song list included these little gems from Tull and Ian’s vast catalogue of songs

Eurology
Calliandra Shade
Skating Away
Up The Pool
We Five Kings
Life Is A Long Song
Stronger Stuff
Wond’ring Aloud
Griminelli’s Lament
Cheap Day Return
Mother Goose
Bouree
Boris Dancing
Living In The Past
Pavane
Aqualung
God Rest Ye Merry
My God
Budapest
Locomotive Breath

Add to that little lot a whole section of bonus material and you can understand why is everyone is very excited about that release. Everyone is still working on all the other major bits that are involved-the film editing, the artwork etc-but we’ll bring you definite news about the release date as soon as it is all finished.
