Neues Ian Interview, Orchestral DVD
Moderator: King Heath
I wonder what happens when Americans go to visit Italy or Greece and see statues with male and female genitalia. I wonder what happens when they look at an art book and find that male and female genitalia have been the subject of art and sculpture for a long, long time. Does that particularly offend the American’s? I don’t know. We, in Europe, sort of take it for granted that Egyptian gods are fairly well hung!

Also interesting:
Martin and I both play a lot of acoustic guitar. Martin only started playing a lot of acoustic guitar quite recently. I was happy to see him play a lot of it on his recent solo album. I told him at the time that he should do more of this stuff in Jethro Tull. I tried to get Martin to do more stuff with orchestras with me. He was not comfortable with that idea. He feels people expect him to be the electric guitar player. We both respect each others talents though we are careful where we apply them in each others company.
