No videos of Tull from 1971 - 1975? Warum?

Guten Abend.
Meine Deutsch is nicht gut.
Why are there no concert videos of Jethro Tull during the band's most popular period... 1971 - 1975?
Warum nicht?
Nothing from the Aqualung tour ('71), the Thick As A Brick tour ('72), the Passion Play tour ('73), the Warchild tour ('74) the Minstrel in the Gallery tour ('75).
This is when the band was one of the most popular LIVE acts in the world.
Yet there is no concert footage of them during this time.
So strange. Sehr fremd.

That's no problem, write in english ;-)

Yes, that's a shame indeed! There must be -at least- the Paris 1975 show in Ian's Vault, which has been filmed (there exist excerpts of Minstrel in the Gallery on the 25th anniv. video) and recorded on multitracks audiowise.

Cheers,

Laufi

Hello Laufi.
Thanks for your response.
Yes, I know about the 1975 (Minstrel in the Gallary tour) Paris concert that was filmmed.
And the only thing ANYONE has EVER seen from that show is the song Minstrel in the Gallery.
I hope there is more.
As for the other important years... 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974... maybe something will show up.
After all, nobody knew about this 1976 TullaVision show.
I saw the Jethro Tull TullaVision Show (Too Old To Rock n' Roll) at Shea Stadium in New York in the summer of 1976. It was my first Tull concert ever. So this video means a lot to me.

An excellent audio clip of the Passion Play exerpt from the Paris 1975 show made it onto the "live throughout the years" CD included in the 30 year box set disc. So we know someone has done some mastering work with the Paris concert. Hopefully the show will be released on DVD, or maybe Tullavision can get their hands on it.

I agree that Tull's best live shows were '71 - '75, yet every official live release has been from shows that are either earlier or later in their career.

BTW, the Tampa '76 DVD is superb... but I thought the "75 and '77 tours were stronger. Still, what a great document of the band when they still had much of the energy of their prime years. I forgot how animated Ian was back then!
